Home Is Where the Love Lives: A Tale of Optimism and Gratitude
Take a moment to think about your childhood home. Are your parents there? Do they wake you up for school? Do they make you dinner every night? Throughout this audio portrait, my grandmother, Lorraine, shares a heartfelt story of being placed in an orphanage after her father won custody in her parents’ divorce. As a true optimist though, Lorraine does not want you to pity her because of the circumstances she was faced with in childhood. She hopes to inspire you to make the most out of every situation and to be grateful for what you have. After all, home does not have to be a place where your parents wake you up for school and make you dinner. As long as you can feel your friends' and family’s love, that is all that matters. Listen and be inspired by my grandmother’s beautiful outlook on life.
